Dr. Curry-Winchell, MD, Dr. BCW, joins BBC News for a panel discussion on maternal mortality rates of black women.  Health equity is an extremely important topic to Dr. BCW and this particular disparity hits very close to home for Dr. Curry-Winchell.  In fact during this panel discussion Dr. BCW shared her own experience with pregnancy and how dismissal almost cost her life.  This panel discussions covers a number of different concerns surrounding the 3x death rates black women face when compared to other races.  Dr. BCW recently did a TEDx talk and shared a BLOG post on this same topic.
